Build a House for Allah This Ramadan and Secure Your House in Jannah
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best charity is that given in Ramadan.” (Tirmidhi)
If you have ever worried about how the next generation will stay connected to their faith, if you have ever hoped that Muslim children growing up in the West would have a place where they feel they truly belong,
Then you already understand why this project matters.
A Masjid and Islamic Centre For Generations to Come
For decades, the Muslim community in Stavanger has worked to build a masjid and education center serving thousands of Muslims from over 40 nationalities, nurturing faith, knowledge, and future generations in Norway.
Today, that vision is closer than ever.
What began in 1992 as a small Islamic center has grown into the largest Muslim community center in the region. Today, Masjid Al-Noor & Islamic Educational Center has more than 4,000 members from around the world and serves hundreds of families.
The Islamic Education Centre already serves a vibrant community:
• 900 people supported weekly
• 400+ students attending classes
• 2,000+ people gathering at major events each year
But now, our community has outgrown the space we have and our current facility simply cannot meet the growing needs.
There is a
❗Severe lack of prayer space
❗Overcrowded classrooms for Islamic education
❗Limited youth facilities for the next generation
❗Community programs forced into small rooms across three floors
❗Limited facilities, leaving children and youth to seek belonging elsewhere
❗The neighborhoods’ traffic-related discomfort when Isha prayer is close to midnight
During busy times, worshippers cannot fit inside the masjid and in Norway’s freezing winters and heavy rain, praying outside is often impossible.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 450, Muslim 533)
This is your opportunity to help build a house for Allah and secure your house in Jannah.
The Goal
Our Fundraising Target: $3,000,000 USD
So far, the community has already raised $300,000 (3 million NOK) towards this project.
By February 2027, we need to raise the remaining $2,700,000 (25.9 million NOK) to complete the project.
Your support will help us transform these buildings into a fully functioning masjid and education center that will serve generations to come.
Why Your Support Matters NOW
The next step is to renovate and transform the newly acquired buildings into a fully functioning masjid and education center.
In addition to the long-standing lack of space for prayer and activities for children and the community, the current building is not designed for today’s use, and we need to move to the new property within February 2027.
That is why this Ramadan is critical.
With your support, we can complete the renovations needed to open the doors of this center and expand its impact for generations to come.
With the new center, we will be able to:
✅ Expand Islamic education programs
✅ Provide much-needed prayer space
✅ Support youth and families
✅ Provide essential community services
✅ Welcome future generations of Muslims in Norway
The centre will also be a welcoming place where people curious about Islam, as well as those newly embracing the faith, can learn, find guidance, and connect with a supportive community.
Every prayer performed in this masjid, every child who memorizes Qur’an, every young person who finds guidance instead of confusion, every family that finds community and support.
You will share in that reward.
Your donation today becomes a legacy that will benefit the Muslim community for decades to come.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 450, Muslim 533)
For over three decades,, this community has sacrificed, saved, and worked together to make this vision possible.
Now we invite you to be part of this historic effort.
About Masjid Al-Noor & Islamic Education Center
While Muslim communities in North America and the UK have spent decades building masjids, schools, and centers, many European cities are still in the earliest stages of that journey. In Norway, Muslims represent a small minority with limited resources and significant social pressures. For families here, a masjid isn’t just a place of worship, it’s the difference between children growing up rooted in their faith or losing it entirely.” In a country like Norway, where Muslims make up less than 4% of the population, the challenge of preserving faith and identity for the next generations is real and urgent.
Masjid Al-Noor & Islamic Education Center serves families, youth, and elders through daily prayers, Islamic classes, and community programs, helping strengthen faith and unity within the community.
